Director/Writer of feature documentary "Eva Hesse" , a flm that explores the life and work of the ground-breaking 1960's artist and the creative community of NY  Germany .   Released in April, 2016; see the film's website for information on current and future screenings. 

 

Author of "From Word to Image: Storyboarding and the Filmmaking Process", a best-selling text on visualization for filmmakers, available in 5 languages and used in film schools worldwide . Has also published  on visualization for film in many publications and sites including Filmmaker Magazine, Indiewire, Indie Slate and the Writer's Store. 

 

Featured speaker on development of pre-production visualization for the DGA,  Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, USC, UCLA, Art Center College, Otis College of Art and Design, International Filmschule (Cologne), the International Film School of Paris., Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg, the University of Essex, UC San Diego. 

 

Founding Director of the Integrated Learning Program; an interdisciplinary design curriculum at Otis College of Art. Former Director of Production Design and Visual Studies for the Graduate Film Department at Art Center College and Associate Professor Digital Media Department, Otis College of Art. 

 

Designer/Illustrator on over 2 dozen feature length film projects, working with directors such as Bill Condon, Jon Mostrow, Alex Cox, Zalman King and Jonathon Wacks. Clients include ABC, Paramount, New Line Cinema, HBO and Handmade Films.
