Creating the Visual Script

Keynote, CILECT '14

The annual conference of CILECT (International Association of Film and Television Schools (Centre International de Liaison des Ecoles de Cinéma et deTélévision – CILECT)) includes representatives from over 160 audio-visual educational institutions from 60 countries on 6 continents annually training more than 60,000 students.

The Keynote address, "Creating the Visual Script" explored the creation and use of the visual script in production as well as curricular strategies to embed development of classic pre-visualization into the film school experience.

How can we assure that the next generation of filmmakers will have the skills to converse about the visual nature of film as well as story arcs, dialogue and other components of the film experience?  "Creating the Visual Script" is available for organizations looking to develop their visual storytelling curriculum.
